Barry John was taking away so tragically on 1st June 2006. He was only 27 years old and left life too soon in a horrific motorbike crash on Ward Road Rosehearty. On 1st June I was in school, it was 3 years to my granny that day, so I was upset as it was. I was in maths when a teacher came and told me to go to the front office as there was someone to collect me, when I went my dad was there, he told me to go in the car but I didn't have a clue what was going on. When I got in the car my brother James was there, they told me what happened, I was shocked and heartbroken. When we went back to my grandas, all my family was there. Everyone shocked and no one knew what was happening, everyone was greeting and sorely upset. He crashed his motorbike on the corner of Ward Road Rosehearty, metres away from his home ='[. He died moments after the crash, it was horrible to think of the pain he must of went through. The Thursday after it happened was his funeral, the funeral was massive, as he was very well known. This was a heartbreaking day. The song "tears in heaven" was played as he was took out of the church, it was horrible to see the pain my family was going through, I was sitting with my mam, dad, brother, sister and my cousin Sandy. I will never forget this day as it was the worst day of my life. I can't describe my feelings for this day. Barrry was buired next to his granny Lorraine, who is saddly missed, so we hope she is looking ater Barry and keeping him out of trouble, Love You Granny. Barry was a charmer, if you were down, he cheered u up, he would do anything for u, he made everyones day shine. He was truely one of the best and he went back to where he came from. My brother had been through alot in his life, but no matter what, he always looked on the bright side if life. We all miss him soo much and wish that we could just turn back time. He loved motorbikes all his life, he had 1 since about the age of 12/13, they was a fasination to him, he loved to show off oin these and show everyone them as he was so proud.
Barry was a very popular person, to family and friends, he always had a smile on his face and was always up to something.
All his life he tried out different jobs but there was only one that he really loved. Fishing in the Fraserburgh boat The Ocean Quest .
He was a Rosehearty loon and everybody knew him... even the old wifees.
He was a muched loved brother to James, Tina and Joanne (Jolly-Jo) and much loved son of James and Christina..much loved grandchild to Mary and the late Jimmy Robertson and Jocky Maitland and the late Lorraine. He was loved by many other cousins,aunties and uncles but the closest were Lorraine Duncan Sandy and Lisa.
He had a lovely fiance Julie Bain and he loved her little girl Momo so much and we all miss him heeps. xx
Barry meant soo much to everyone but we all hope he is in a better place with his granny lorraine beside him and hope they are watching down on us.
